Social Security Financing Training in Myanmar

On December 15-17, 2014, the ILO in coordination with the Social Security Board (SSB), Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, organized a training on social security financing in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.  The training was held in the framework of providing support to the SSB on the implementation of the new Social Security Law, 2012. The training presented the financial models for each active scheme, their implications in terms of scheme design, and scenarios for extending SSB membership. The training was attended by participants from the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance and the Myanmar Development Resources Institute.
