Special Briefing on the World Social Protection Report - New York, 7 October 2014
The presentation will discuss indicators to monitor progress on social protection systems as well as explore a number of successful country experiences.
The implementation of nationally appropriate social protection systems for all, including social protection floors, is one of the key targets proposed by Open Working Group on Sustainable Development Goals for the Post 2015 framework. This report shows that more than 70 per cent of the world population is still not adequately covered by social protection. It brings together key social protection indicators to monitor progress and suggests core means of implementation to deliver on the social protection proposed target based on concrete successful country experiences.
All are invited to attend.
