The second Assessment Based National Dialogue (ABND) on Social Protection Floors will take place in Bishkek, Republic of Kyrgyzstan, from 17 to 19 February 2016.
The 2nd ABND is the most important event at the national level on social protection issues and is expected to involve more than 60 representatives of different organisations, including Government, Parliamentary Committee on Social Policy, civil society and social partners (Trade Unions and Employers Organisations), UN agencies and other international organizations. The ABND will be hosted by Ministry of Labour and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The National Dialogue programme will analyse and debate key recommendations for development of social security system of the Kyrgyz Republic. The work will be done within a session on health, and 3 sessions on income security of children, working-age people and elderly. The dialogue will provide exclusive platform opportunities for social protection specialists and policy makers. A highlight of the meeting will be the agreement of priorities for social protection system and preliminary costs of scenarios.
