Summary (English)

The Workers' Compensation Fund Control Board was established by an Act of Parliamentfor the purposes of compensating workers disabled or killed by occupationalaccidents and diseases. It dates back to 1930 when the Workmen's (Non-native) CompensationOrdinance was passed. Several Amendments have been made since then. As stipulated in Section 110 of the Workers' Compensation Act, all employers arerequired to insure their workers with the Fund, other than the State and any otheremployer exempted by the Minister of Labour.
