Rwanda, Community Based Health Insurance Policy, April 2010

The new Community Based Policy Report lays out a strategy to improve the community based health insurance scheme by  

•  informing all segments of the population of their rights through  various outreach strategies, including informational meetings at the district level and radio broadcasting,
• Strengthening the management of patient roaming so that beneficiaries can be treated in any health facility in the country.
• Strengthening community participation and ownership through continuous sensitization of the population.
• Reinforcing the Rwanda Health Insurance Council (RHIC).
