Indonesia: Social Health Insurance premiums revised

A recently issued presidential regulation (No.19/2016) revised the premiums to be paid by participants to the Social Health Insurance (Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional) launched in January 2014 and targeting universal coverage by 2019. While wage earners will still contribute 5% of their salary (4% from the employer and 1% from the workers) , the increase mostly affects independant participants, the majority of them being workers from the informal economy, whose contribution is not subsidized.
