Social Protection Coordination Meeting in Myanmar
On the 27th of November, 2014, the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and UNICEF, Co-Chairs of the Sectoral Working Group on Social Protection, organized a social protection coordination meeting in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar. The meeting convened a number of line ministries and development partners and focused on the Strategic Plan on Social Protection which will be presented to the President's Office in December 2014. The draft strategic plan includes seven recommendations from the social protection assessment-based national dialogue conducted jointly by the UNCT and the national Technical Support Group on social protection.
