Yaounde Tripartite Declaration on the implementation of the Social Protection Floor
Summary (English)
The 2nd annual symposium for Decent Work was concluded in Yaounde. The 47 participating countries declared that social security is a human right that needs to be realized for all people. These countries agreed that for this to happen, there needs to be a sustained political commitment by countries to improve social Protection coverage, especially for vulnerable groups. These countries agreed to rapidly implement a social protection floor to achieve this goal.
