Summary (English)

ILO has been supporting the annual, government-led Social Protection Week in Mozambique since 2012. The Week is a coordinated effort to increase the importance of social protection policies and interventions and enhance the debate around challenges and constraints. This is donw with a view to ensuring the progressive consolidation of a nationally defined social protection floor in Mozambique. Active, regular, evidence-based advocacy activities targeting key decision makers and stakeholders play a central role in ensuring an adequate level of political commitment and social support for social protection.
