Summary (English)

This document is a compilation of papers presented at the workshop on Global Social Protection held in Berlin from May 14th to 16th, 2012. This workshop brought together experts working in various fields related directly or indirectly to global health, such as the right to health, international taxation and financing mechanisms, and social protection. The objective of the workshop was to identify and present ideas, concepts and strategies for converting the current paradigm of charity-based international aid for universal health coverage into rights-based and operational solidarity.

The document is designed as a background document for a policy paper on Global Social Protection.The presentations included are:

Ce document regroupe des articles présentés au cours d’un atelier qui s’est tenu à Berlin du 14 au 16 mai 2012. Celui-ci a réuni des experts issus de différents domaines liés directement ou non à la santé mondiale, comme le droit à la santé, les mécanismes internationaux d’imposition et de financement ainsi que la protection sociale. L’objectif de l’atelier était d’identifier et de présenter des idées, des concepts et des stratégies pour convertir le paradigme actuel d’aide internationale pour la couverture universelle de santé reposant sur la charité à celui de solidarité opérationnelle et fondée sur des droits.

Ce document est conçu comme un document de référence pour un document d’orientation sur la protection sociale mondiale. Les présentations contenues sont les suivantes:
