Summary (English)

This brief is an 25 pager summary on the Assessment Based National Dialogue that captures the comprehensive Social Protection assessment conducted in Malawi between 2014 and 2014, as part of an Assessment Based National Dialogue. It looks at the efficiency and effectiveness of Social Protection programmes currently implemented in Malawi, analyzing how far they provide adequate protection to vulnerable populations. The assessment also proposes ways to rationalize social protection spending by moving expenditures from less efficient programs into programs with higher potential impact.
