Taking forward the recommendations of the assessment on social protection and employment support: assessing the cost of a social protection floor in Mongolia

On 2 May 2014, the third dialogue of the Assessment on Social Protection and Employment Support led by the United Nations and the Ministry of Population Development and Social Protection took place in Ulaanbataar.

At this occasion, around 60 officials from the Ministries of Labour, Population Development & Social Protection, Health, Education, Finance and Economic Development, together with CMTU, MONEF, representatives of the civil society, notably of Persons with Disabilities, as well as UN agencies, ADB and other development partners discussed the possible scenarios that will build a social protection floor for Mongolia. Preliminary results of the costing exercise, using the Rapid Assessment Protocol, were also presented.
