The ultimate beneficiaries are workers in informal employment in formal enterprises, unemployed, especially young people, women, persons with disabilities and disadvantaged groups. The expected results include the following: (1) an integrated policy response on employment and social protection is available; (2) intergovernmental coordination mechanisms on social protection and employment are strengthened; and (3) social protection programmes are extended to informal economy workers, the self-employed and workers in non-standard forms of employment.
