In two focus countries, Lao PDR and Kenya, technical support will be provided through the ILO country offices with on demand technical support from ILO Geneva to increase the coverage and access to social protection for workers in the informal economy by strengthening the policy design, administrative governance and operational efficiency. It will leverage digital technologies to improve access, efficiency, and effectiveness of social protection programs. Through partnerships, the project will also facilitate South-South collaboration, enabling the sharing of knowledge, resources, and expertise among ASEAN and African countries. The project is a direct contribution of the Government of China to ILO’s Flagship Programme on Building Social Protection Floors for All. It therefore contributes to the Theory of Change of the Flagship Programme and will use its results framework.SDG
