Output 2.1: Shock-responsive measures are developed for expanding and managing social protection programmes during crises

Description

This output is mainly to support enhancement of the SP focusing on building capacities of the public institutions at central and local levels, including building their capacities to design and implement social policies, mainly on SRSP. The support will cover policy, planning and building the capacity of the national partners in these areas. This output is critical to build a comprehensive SRSP system in OPT in the long term, especially with the increase of demand on SP services after the COVID-19 pandemic. In the short term, building upon lessons learned prior to and during the COVID-19 pandemic on the fragility of SP and lack of shock response planning capacities in the SoP, we will work with both MoSD at both central and local levels, to build capacities in shock responsive planning, implementation and monitoring and to link both central and local level SRSP systems.
