Outcome summary

A revised Social Protection Monitoring and Evaluation Framework was adopted

Outcome achieved

The government adopted the revised Kenya Social Protection Monitoring and Evaluation Framework in September 2020 enabling the harmonization of tools for comprehensive data collection and reporting on social protection at national, regional and global levels. The revised M&E Framework was developed in consultation with social partners and incorporates ILO principles and includes indicators to enhance reporting through the Social Security Inquiry system.

ILO's contribution to the outcome

Through Joint SDG Fund on Social Protection (KEN19/52/UND); ILO provided technical guidance and inputs to the M&E Framework from April 2019 to September 2020.

Gender equality & non-discrimination

CPO deliverables linked to P&B output 8.1 include HIV and Disability responsive social protection to enhance the inclusion of these vulnerable groups in mainstream schemes and towards supporting maternity income protection.
