An acturial valuation was completed

Outcome achieved

The government of Ghana completed the actuarial valuation of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) and the report was adopted by the Board of SSNIT in November 2020. The valuation was carried out after consultations with relevant stakeholders including the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations and the social partners.

ILO's contribution to the outcome

The ILO supported the actuarial valuation for the pension scheme under The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) in 2020, in particular the data collection and analysis, long-term projections, the development of the report and the workshop for the validation.
