Council of Ministers adopted a project for a universal health insurance system, which is the first step in implementation of social protection floor. Appointed an inter-ministerial committee on universal health insurance that includes representatives of the social partners and civil society. Established permanent secretariat in charge of monitoring the project.
ILO's contribution to the outcome
Provided support in designing universal health insurance system. Drafted technical note and various studies on the system. Provided technical support to permanent secretariat and for resource mobilization.
