Outcome achieved
On 22 December 2022, the Law no 353/2022 was adopted by the Parliament. It amends several normative acts including the Law on the national social insurance system (Law 489/1999). According to the amendment, persons working as daily labourers performing agricultural activities are mandatorily covered under the national social insurance system and required to make contributions at 6% of their daily remuneration for the entitlement of old-age pension and death grant.
