2nd webinar on Social Health Protection for Migrant Workers and Their Families
The P4H Network and Australian National University (ANU) initiated a four-part webinar series titled Social Health Protection for Migrant Workers and Their Families that is scheduled to run through the summer of 2023. The webinar series promotes knowledge sharing and dialogue on social health protection (SHP), including policies, challenges, gaps and plans for migrant workers and their families.
The first webinar, organized on April 26, 2023, highlighted key opportunities and challenges to extend social health protection to migrants in Asia and the Pacific (trends, drivers, legal frameworks, challenges, and possible ways forward) and shared Thailand’s experiences of providing social health protection to migrant workers, with participation of our colleague Marielle Phe Goursat. You can find the link to the recording here.
The second webinar of the series on Social Health Protection for Migrant Workers and Their Families will be organized on May 31, 2023 from 9.00 am – 10.30 am (CET). In this webinar, our experts will discuss social health protection in the Greater Mekong region and share experiences of Australia, the Philippines, and Singapore. The webinar is co-organized by the ILO, with the Asian Development Bank, the World Health Organization, CONNECT and the Australian National University in the framework of the P4H Network.
