Brazil : Strengthening resilience through an Innovative Income-led Strategy
ILO, International Institute for Labour Studies
A study led by the ILO in collaboration with the International Institute for Labour Studies and published in 2011 addresses the growth-cum equity strategy implemented in Brazil and how it helped the country to overcome the global financial and economic crisis.
It also presents the labour market performance, the social protection measures taken to stimulate the aggregate demand, the lessons learned and the challenges remaining. Finally, it concludes formulating possible policy responses.
