Training workshop "Extending Social Protection and Promoting Employment in Cambodia", Phnom Penh, November 02-04th, 2011

The ILO and the European Union jointly developed a project in Cambodia, Burkina Faso, and Honduras aimed at fighting poverty through the development of a social protection system and the promotion of employment.  For that purpose, an important challenge is to identify efficient instruments to formulate relevant policies.

In Cambodia, a Skills Training Workshop took place during 3 days, on 2-4 November 2011, at the Phnom Penh Hotel. The objective of the workshop was to take stock of the social protection and employment situation in Cambodia, to present the National Social Protection Strategy being developed, and to train the participants on the utilization of tools, methods, and indicators for the design and implementation of social protection and employment policies.
