In the framework of the joint ILO-EU Project, a two-day national tripartite dialogue on integrated approaches of the extension of social protection and the promotion of employment was held in Ouagadougou, from June 25-26, 2012. The event aimed to support the design of coherent social protection and employment policies in order to reduce poverty in Burkina Faso. Organized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance in cooperation with ILO and EU, the national dialogue's participants were government, employers’ and workers’ representatives who discussed a draft action plan, to collected ideas from the dialogue members and to provided recommendations. The two-day dialogue was composed of different sessions with the purpose of examining employment and social protection strategies, policies and programmes.
