Workshop on investing in care leave and services for a more gender equal world of work
ILO in a close collaboration with Ministry of Manpower plans to facilitate social dialogue meetings with tripartite organisations to strengthen the awareness on care work policies, design, investments requirements and benefits, and explore the on-going progressive discussion on draft bill on mother and child’s welfare by specifying the maternity and paternity leaves and ensuring the coverage of informal care workers on basic employment rights
The social protection programme presented and discussed ILO standards on maternity beneits and policy options to reform the benefits in the framework of care economy.
The event took place in Jakarta, 1-2 March 2023.
