Summary (English)

This study addresses core issues of the future financial affordability of the German welfare state. In applying standard formal analysis, it focus on estimating future revenue and expenditure of Germany's main public retirement systems, public health and long-term care insurance, unemployment insurance and subsistence allowances, and family benefits which, together, account for around 90 per cent of the total social budget.
