Summary (English)

This resource was prepared for the workshop: "Mapping existing international social protection indicators that would contribute to the monitoring of social protection extension through Social Protection Floors", held in Geneva, 13th-15th March 2013.

Material from the conference and collaborative documents, including presentations and mapping exercises, are available to members of the Social Protection statistics and indicators inter-agency working group on the group's workspace.

This is the first attempt to comprehensively identify the social protection data collected or compiled by international or regional organisations active in the field of social protection statistics.

Data are organised into four main groups:

• Inter-generational data (no reference to a specific age range)
• Social protection for children
• Social protection persons in active age
• Social protection of older persons

The main organisations involved in this mapping exercise are: ADB, ECLAC, European commission (Eurostat), FAO, HelpAge International, ILO, IPC-UNDP, ISSA, OECD, UNICEF, WFP, World Bank
