This report contains a detailed legal assessment of existing social security provisions in South Africa against the requirements of Convention No 102.
It presents the ILO social security standards and national social security system, discusses its compatibility with the convention requirements and makes conclusions and recommendations in view of a possible future ratification of Convention 102.
