Summary (English)

Tripartite social dialogue has an important role to play in areas such as social security governance, the promotion of international labour standards, non-standard forms of employment, gender equality, and the fair transition to low-carbon economies. Besides these issues, social dialogue processes help to ensure smooth political and economic transitions and mitigate the impacts of crises.

The role of social dialogue in these issues is further discussed in this guide.
