Extending SHI to the Informal Sector of the Philippines
Summary (English)
A Power Point presentation explaining the interaction of Phil Health with various organized groups in the Philippines. The main goal of these partnerships (called KASAPI model) consists in extending the SHI to the informal sector. For this purpose various organized groups (such as peoples organizations, NGOs, micro finance groups and cooperatives) commit themselves with the recruitment of new members and the collection of contributions while Phil Health provides the payment of the benefit and offers flexible premium rates that depend on the size of the group.
