Summary (English)

This study presents Kenyaʼs experience in building a coherent and coordinated social protection system at the legal, policy and operational levels. Kenya has progressively developed its social protection, using a diversity of both contributory and non- contributory mechanisms to provide access to healthcare and income security across the life cycle.
