Briefly traces the main stages of the inter-institutional debate between the World Bank and the ILO on pension policy during the last decade. It focuses on the analysis of pension policy advocacy of the different institutions including in particular the latest draft of the most recent World Bank policy paper on pensions and a brief analysis of real life development in pension reforms since the appearance of the World Bank Publication ¿Averting the old age crisis¿¿ in 1994.
