Summary (English)

There is a growing demand for information on how many have actual access to different forms of protection and what are the levels of protection enjoyed by people in different countries. The paper presents the most recent efforts of the ILO to meet the demands by developing new tools and methods in social security statistics. The work is at the same time part of the wider effort in the ILO aiming at establishing a basic set of decent work indicators¿ and potentially building also aggregated indices combining those indicators (into i.e. ¿decent work index¿).
