Summary (English)

Pesents the results of an ILO Social Security Inquiry in the countries of South Eastern Europe, designed to compare their spending levels, the coverage of national populations, the range and level of benefits provided, and available evidence on the effect of social security in reducing inequality and poverty. Examines both social policy formation and consequent experience with implementation of legislated reforms.
