Summary (English)

This short presentation summarises the following main themes: the historical link between employment and social security; the main challenges to extending social security and guaranteeing the right to decent work today; the key features of a new Welfare state; emerging forms of social security provision; the key issues surrounding ILO's contribution to the Decent Work Agenda and finally potential global and integrated strategies for Decent Work.
