Summary (English)

The Social Insurance and Pension Law (Law No. 148) marked a milestone in Egyptʼs efforts towards universal social protection by establishing a more unified regulatory framework that has replaced a number of laws and now provides legal coverage for workersʼ categories that were previously excluded, such as temporary and seasonal workers, domestic workers and agricultural workers.
