The Commission for Social Development of UN Economic and Social Council addresses in this report the impact of the global crisis and the policy responses to the crisis and recent initiatives are reviewed at the national level and international level. In order to build long-term investments in social protection and the improvement of social services, the United Nations Chief Executives Board for Coordination promote the establishment of social protection floor which is under the leadership of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the World Health Organization.
