Summary (English)

This report  provides a summary of the employment injury insurance system in Moldova and also provides an overview of the actuarial study and discussesgeneral issues related to the determination of contribution rates. It describes the preliminary results of the estimated average contribution rates of employment injury insurance and presents the determination of the contribution rates by risk groups (industry groups) under two options. The report explains the rationale and the basic mechanism of an individual employer’s experience-based rating system and discusses the issues with the implementation of such a system in Moldova. Finally it  summarizes the views of the social partners and concludes with the
future follow up issues.
