Résumé (anglais)
The Jordanian national social security system, administered by the Social Security Corporation (SSC), provides an excellent example of the establishment of voluntary social security insurance for national workers abroad. This scheme is open to Jordanians nationals working abroad and it provides old-age, disability and death benefits. Due to the large number of Jordanian labourers working in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates without social security coverage, the SSC has established two liaison offices in those countries.
