During the meeting, it was emphasized that Social Protection technical expertise which can be exchanged through south-south co-operation are in many cases those most suitable to meeting the development challenges faced by others in the South. This is particularly true for flagship programes that have been remarkably succesful in extending social security in various countries like Brazil, Mexico, Rwanda, Colombia, South Africa, China etc. During the meeting, high-level participant presented their experiences and expressed their support for the social protection floor initiative.
