L'OIT et le PNUD dispensent une formation à la gestion de projet pour lutter contre l'informalité en Angola

António Gonga

With the support of the European Union, the International Labour Organization (ILO), UNDP Angola and the Observatory of the Informal Economy (OEI) are carrying out, in Luanda, a training on the Management of Business and Associative Projects.

The training program in business and associative project management is being organized, between 22 and 26 July, at ENAPP, with the aim of strengthening the management of micro-businesses and civil society organizations in Angola, members of the OEI.

The course aims to meet the need for training of organizations and microentrepreneurs operating in the informal economy, a sector that represents about 79.2% of the economically active population in the country, according to the Employment Survey in Angola (IEA-2023).

The beneficiaries include 17 members of OEI representative organizations, who participate in intensive theoretical and practical sessions, facilitated by UNDP informality specialist Carla Serrão, to improve skills in planning, project design, fund and microcredit applications, as well as the use of financial and administrative tools.

The course lasts five days and is divided into four main modules, covering the project management cycle, from conception to closure. Activities include the definition of objectives, resources and risks, planning and monitoring, the preparation of dossiers for microcredit and funds, as well as final presentations that will be evaluated by experts from UNDP, ILO and INAPEM, at the end of the training.

In addition, the last day will be reserved for information sessions conducted by partner institutions, such as INAPEM, INSS, AGT and commercial banks, as well as ILO, and topics such as business formalization, tax framework, social protection systems and financial inclusion, including the use of digital wallets and banking, may be presented.

The central objective is to empower participants to develop projects oriented towards inclusive sustainability practices, promoting access to funds and credit. Among the expected results are the strengthening of the ability of organizations in the preparation of applications, greater efficiency and effectiveness in project management, improved understanding of the administrative processes linked to formalization and social protection and the adoption of results-based work practices, promoting greater productivity.

The program aims not only to empower microentrepreneurs and organizations, but also to contribute to the transition from the informal economy to formality, promoting a more structured environment for economic growth and poverty reduction. This initiative represents a significant opportunity to strengthen the business and associative fabric in Angola, with a direct impact on the quality of life of the beneficiaries and the sustainable development of the country.
