Taking the dialogue on social protection to the regional level

On 13th-14th October, ILO organized a first workshop to assess the current community-based social protection services in Mon State, and identify their challenges and successes as well as recommendations. The workshop is part of a study to understand how social protection providers at community level operate, their sustainability and their potential to be integrated in an effective delivery mechanism for social assistance that could bridge with the national social protection framework in the country. The workshop was attended by 22 community-service organizations.
