The paper reviews the impact of the global financial and economic crisis on Arab states until early 2009 and offers a number of policy considerations on employment and social protection policies.

صحيح أن الأزمة المالية والاقتصادية العالمية لم توفّر الدول العربية في الشرق الأوسط، غير أن آثارها لا تزال محصورة نسبياً حتى الساعة ببعض بلدان المنطقة. إن هدف هذه المذكرة هو تقييم آثار الأزمة المالية والاقتصادية على الاستخدام والحماية الاجتماعية واقتراح استجابة السياسات الملائمة.
