The Education International 6th World Congress, that took place in Cape Town, South Africa, from 18 to 26 July 2011, adopted a Resolution on Social Protection Education. This resolution was submitted by Unions of four different regions, promoted by the Education and Solidarity Network and adopted unanimously. It urges countries to implement policies for the creation of Social Protection Floors, provide quality social protection for education professionals, and include social protection education in education and training systems to promote a social protection culture.
