Summary

This technical report presents the main design and operationalization of the compensation scheme which delivers compensation to the victims, and their dependants, of the collapse of the Rana Plaza building in Bangladesh in April 2013.

This is the preliminary technical operations report of the ILO Social Protection Department and the Country Office in Dhaka. A revised final version will be released when the Rana Plaza compensation process is fully completed for all victims as necessary funds are still in need to be raised. An ILO policy report on the "Rana Plaza Compensation Arrangement and Beyond" will be released in 2015.
