Summary

Declaration in favour of the Social Protection Floor, signed on May 10, 2011 by the representatives of the three Latin America and the Caribbean countries in the G20 - Brazil, Argentina, Mexico - during a meeting in Brasilia.

States coordination of these countries' position within the discussions of the G20 process and promotion of the following proposals, inter alia:

• a commitment of the countries of the G20 to promote the extension of social protection;
• a call upon the international organizations to work together in supporting countries to build sustainable social protection systems.
