Resumen

Letter from the UNDG Chair, Helen Clark, and ILO Director General, Guy Ryder, requesting all UN Resident Co-ordinators and UN Country Teams to help make social protection a reality for all. 

The authors present five specific steps to undertake:

• building or strengthening One UN national social protection floor teams;
• supporting national dialogues on potential options for designing and implementing locally appropriate Social Protection Floors (SPFs);
• assisting countries in the analysis of their social protection needs with the hope of increasing floors over time; promoting SPFs as instruments to advance inclusive and sustainable development; and
• strengthening their ability to collect the data needed to analyse social protection needs and existing provisions.
