New function for users

Dear users,

We are continuously trying to improve the GESS platform. In view of this, we have added new functions on GESS. From now on, you can use Skype to communicate with members of the GESS community.

To make your Skype status visible to other users, please follow the instructions below:

• Please update your Skype program by downloading the latest version
• Go to GESS and click Show/edit my profile (top right corner) and key in your Skype pseudo (username) in the tab ‘Personal’.
• Then open the Skype program, click on the ‘Tools’ tab on the menu bar, then on ‘Options’, click the tab ‘Privacy’ and the tab ‘Show advanced options’ and check the box ‘Allow my online status to be shown on the web’
• In order to activate the Skype function on GESS, refresh the GESS page and/or click on the Skype symbol beside your name in the list of connected users and activate it.

Your Skype status should now be visible for all GESS users. If you have any difficulties do not hesitate to contact us (gess@ilo.org).
