SPF Workshop in Vanuatu

The ILO, in collaboration with the Tripartite Labour Advisory Council (TLAC) of Vanuatu, organised a workshop on Social Protection Floor and validation of the Vanuatu Policy paper.

Objectives of the workshop:

• raising awareness regarding the Social Protection Floor (SPF) Concepts and analysing Vanuatu’s social protection provision with the framework of SPF
• Presenting the policy paper on income security for workers, and gaining inputs and validation for the finalisation of the paper

Vanuau Social Protectio Policy Paper

Vanuatu Tripartite Labour Advisory Council (TLAC), with assostance from the ILO, has developed a detailed policy paper on income security for workers. The policy paper will provide the government with policy options and concrete action plans in a number of priority areas. The policy paper was developed throough extensive consultations with government agencies, workers and employers. The finalisation of the policy paper was done through a national validation, whichis conducted in combination wth a national workshop on the Social Protection Floor (SPF).
