Indeed, each of the NRCMI schemes, amounting to about 2800 once completed by 2010, is somehow unique or different from the others. So apparently, it is quite impossible to provide a close look at all of them on line. Given the above, three examples are considered adequate at this stage to paint the background of the picture. They were selected from the Eastern, Central and Western Regions representing economically advanced, modestly developed and least developed provinces. Their experiences demonstrate that access to basic health care through the NRCMI can be achieved no matter the community in question is relatively rich or poor as long as the governments and the communities concerned are willing and ready to address this issue all together.
