Testimonies

100 testimonies of persons with coverage will be collected:

• 75 beneficiaries (children, mothers, injured persons, unemployed, older persons, persons with disabilities, fathers, migrants, refugees, domestic workers, workers in the rural areas, persons in the informal economy benefiting from a simplified scheme);

• 5 workers representatives

• 5 enterprises & 5 employers representatives

• 10 governments

They will be asked to explain how social protection has changed their lives, or the development of the enterprise / organization / country. Each testimony will include a picture and a text (and if possible videos). Testimonies will be collected through country offices and social protection projects. They will then be posted on a dedicated facebook page. They will also be printed (posters) and exhibited during country/regional events and during the Social Protection Week. In addition testimonies of key personalities that have marked the development of social security worldwide and/or ILO’s role in this development (e.g. M. Bachelet, J. Somavia, A. Ocampo, A. Diop, etc.) will be recorded and added to the Exhibition.
